Morning Seminar: Establishing Future Specialty Drug Supply Chains

Date: Thursday 21st March, 2019

Venue: AmerisourceBergen Global Services (Bern, Switzerland)

The continued evolution of new and novel therapies, coupled with the complexities of these innovative drug products, has a direct impact on today's commercial drug supply chain - requiring a complete transformation from the traditional logistics model.

Despite varying patient and logistics requirements to support globalization of more personalized therapies, the overriding objective remains to ensure a safe and robust distribution of medication to patients. The manufacturing shift to more specialty biologics is having a direct influence on the product portfolio of pharmaceutical companies and subsequently its logistics challenges.

This morning seminar is to help provide industry supply chain professionals with practical learnings and key considerations to help overcome these logistical challenges to support future supply chain strategies.

It will cover aspects relating to the commercial supply chain in terms of quality and compliance, integrated services, securing product integrity and customizing the supply chain - from new product introduction to managing high value, low volume drugs.
