The Hidden Factors of Clinical Trials: Logistics as the Key to Their Success

Overview

Date: 3 March 2020

Venue: Plac Europejski 1, Warsaw, 38th floor

Time: 09:00 - 15:30

Language: English

Overview:

The EU, thanks to the CORDIS FP7 project, focuses on promoting patients' point of view in clinical research. They have adopted a very "pro-patient" approach and focus on the long-term impact, not just the temporary effect.

However, the clinical research market in Poland is facing challenges in attracting and recruiting patients for research. Innovative solutions such as Direct-to-Patient schemes, along with personalized drug delivery to patient's homes, can positively influence decisions to join the study. A home visit creates a better environment for the patient and benefits the clinical trial with a significant increase in the number of participants and better treatment results due to greater comfort and family presence.

This event has been designed by World Courier under the patronage of the National Center for Research and Development to host an open discussion with drug manufacturers, clinical trial sponsors, and research centers, to understand if home therapies are the future of patient focus. We will cover the logistical solutions that will deliver biological products and materials safely and in a compliant manner.

You will also have the opportunity to meet and network with professionals from the clinical research industry.

Key Discussion Topics:

  • Increasing patient recruitment and retention in clinical trials

  • Patients in therapy centers

  • Better treatment effects

  • Global trends in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries
